The Bank stores seeds at -10ºC. Before storage, seeds are desiccated with silica gel (approximately at 12-15% relative humidity), and they are enclosed in glass vials that are flame-sealed, containing silica gel. The hermeticity of the containers (Gómez-Campo, 2006a, 2006b) and the low water content secure that the seeds keep their viability for decades (Pérez-García et al. 2007, 2008). Moisture contents of 1-3% (fresh weight basis) have been measured in several crucifers (Pérez-García et al. 2007). |

The in vitro culture collections are kept with periodical subcultures. Cultures are incubated at 25ºC, with 16 h photoperiod.
Thirteen clones of Narcissus cavanillesii and several of Borderea chouardii are maintained. |

The field collection of shrubby leguminosae is located in the demonstration fields of the ETSI Agrónomos of the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. |
